Hi, I am Ana
I am a project manager. A parent. An expat living in Lisbon, Portugal.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What started as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Began
Moving to Portugal wasn’t part of the long-range plan. Like many international relocations, it started with a job opportunity and soon grew into something much larger.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, and rising expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more complex than expected.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of learning by doing. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, met other families, and began building something that felt stable.
Why I Created Xihelr Ivmova Krerep Er
Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or surface-level tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Portugal.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Practical insights from living in Portugal
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site ISN'T:
- A resource for tourism authorities
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- Just another generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Portugal goes on, and so does the process of learning. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll continue recording what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Lisbon or anywhere in Portugal, feel free to get in touch.
Best regards,
Ana
